Many questions yet
Buried still unanswered;
I wasn’t built like Father,
Outliving his disaster.
Many answers silenced
Down within your grave,
But coffin-colds are only lined
With grief for yesterdays.
Life is for the living,
How old you could be now!
My blood forged in forgiving,
I’ll survive somehow.

This is a powerful reminder about how forever-lasting the effects of a person “deciding” (a mind in this state does not make decisions, in my opinion) on premature finiteness will have on others. The narrator seems steadfast in strength, and writes with a ray of hope. Forgiveness and breaking the chains of history and heredity is everything. Every survivor who keeps living is a hero. ❤
